Antique Cut Paper Collage "Tiger Lily"
Item Details
Am antique cut paper collage on paper titled Tiger Lilies. Dated to 1836, the work depicts a blooming stalk of lilies on a deep blue background. Under a single layer of cream fabric mat, the item is presented under glass in a black wood frame with gold-tone embellishments. To the verso is a handwritten descriptive label, signed by ‘Mary’ with an illegible surname.
Condition
- some of the adhesive on the collage is loosening resulting in mild peeling of paper in some places.
