A marker drawing on a found object restaurant placemat by well-listed artist Nam June Paik (Korea/New York; 1932-2006). In quick and gestural strokes, the work depicts a smiling television face on the placemat of a Venetian restaurant. To the lower left, signed in black marker. Under museum glass, the item is presented in a black metal frame. Paik was a pioneering figure in video art and often combined music and performance in his work.
