Pair of Original Vintage Pinup Art Calendars
Item Details
A pair of original vintage offset lithograph pin-up art calendars. The first depicts a print of an original image by listed American illustrator Walt Otto (1895 – 1963), titled The Lady is Waiting. It depicts a woman in a long white gown with hot pink gloves, and is signed in-plate to the lower right. A pull-off calendar for January 1958 is attached to the lower edge. An advertisement for Cincinnati’s The Osborne Company is printed to the center of the calendar. The second depicts a print of an original image by American illustrator Arthur Sarnoff (1912 – 2000), titled Girl in Red. It depicts a girl in a red dress seated on a bed covered in white pillows. A pull-off calendar for January 1966 is attached to the lower edge. An advertisement for Cincinnati’s Osborne-Kemper-Thomas Inc. is printed to the center. Both are presented without matting or framing.
