Three Offset Lithographic Portraits
Item Details
A group of three vintage offset lithograph reproductions of original portrait paintings. One is after an original painting by listed 20th century American child illustrator Annie Benson Müller; it depicts a young child glowing in yellow light smiling softly towards the viewer. It is mounted to a thin paper backing and is signed in-plate. The second image is after an original pinup painting by well-listed American artist Rolf Armstrong (1889 – 1960); it depicts a woman in a vivid floral hat. It is mounted to paper backing and signed in-plate. The third piece depicts a woman in a pale sheer dress holding a bouquet of roses. It is mounted to an acid-free archival canvas substrate backing. All presented without matting or framing.
Condition
- two smaller prints have significant scuffing and discoloration across, as well as light ripping and creasing to paper mounting.
