Antique James Yates Pewter Pint Tankard

An antique James Yates pewter tankard. The tankard is footed with an applied handle and baluster shape. The tankard is marked along the lip ‘James Yates Pint’ along with a crown over ‘VR 259’ with a ‘9’ next to it, a crown over ‘VR GB’ with a ‘2’ underneath and the interior bottom is marked with ‘5’ over a crown and an ‘X’ underneath. Dates to the mid 19th century.

Condition

- wear consistent with age and use, dents, scuffs, scratches, would benefit from cleaning.
