A ceramic Fair Winds dinnerware set. There are eight dinner plates, six bowls, four saucers, two teacups, and one mug. They all have various American Revolution themes in red-brown coloring. One dinner plate reads, ‘E Pluribus Unum/ Friendship of Salem/ New York Harbor 1830/ Canton Port 1830/ U.S. Delaware Capturing Le Croyable.’ The bottom of one bowl reads, ‘Fair Winds/ U.S.S. Portsmouth off the Barrier Forts Canton/ Permanent Colors/ Made by Alfred Meakin/ Staffordshire England.’ The bottom of one plate reads, ‘Fair Winds/ Original Copper Engravings depicting Historical Scenes of Chinese Export to America/ The Friendship of Salem/ Permanent Colors/ Alfred Meakin Staffordshire England.’
