Circa 1900 Chinese Export Parrot
Item Details
A Chinese export ware parrot figurine produced circa 1900. This ceramic figurine depicts an emerald green parrot with black eyes and incised feathers. The bird stands on a rocky base mottled in shades of green, brown, and yellow, reminiscent of fahua glazes. The piece is unmarked.
Condition
- some crazing; considerable chipping to glaze; hole drilled in the back of the neck; a few hairline cracks at the base.
