An original oil painting on canvas by artist, Alex Wang (b. 1971). The work depicts red poppies in the foreground against a vast green field with mountains in the distance. The work is signed to the lower right corner and framed in carved gold tone wooden frame. The piece is wired to the back for hanging.
Alex Wang was born in 1971 in Suzhou, China and studied at Zhejiang University where he earned a fine art degree. Wang mastered the techniques of the classical style of painting while creating his own style of landscape paintings. The artist is known for his use of rich jewel tones depicting lifelike landscape scenes. Wang is a member of Zhejiang Artist Association and the Chinese Modern Art Association and has been exhibited throughout the world. He has since moved to Beijing where he now lives and works.
