"The Silver Story" and "Wartime Coinage" Framed Currency Display Sets

A pair of framed coin and currency collections. There are two framed pieces, each containing a collection of U.S. coins and paper currency. The coins are affixed to cardboard backings, which are printed with information about the history of the coins. One framed collection is titled The Silver Story, depicting a large gold coin at the top. The collection in the frame includes a $1 U.S. Silver Certificate, a Morgan dollar, a specimen of silver granules, a silver ‘war nickel’ and a silver Roosevelt dime. The other frame is titled Wartime Coinage, depicting an image of a gold $20 gold piece at the top. The coins in this frame include nickels, featuring examples from all the mints. There are three steel pennies including one each minted in Denver, San Francisco and Philadelphia (no mint mark). There are also six pennies, dated 1944, 1944-D, 1944S, 1945, 1945-D and 1945S. Both collections are housed in brown wood frames and are ready to hang.
