Victorian "Spiderweb" Paper Flower Valentine in a Shadowbox Frame

An original Victorian ‘Spirderweb’ or ‘Honeycomb’ dimensional paper flower Valentine in a shadowbox frame. This piece depicts a rose that has a dimensional center, with the paper that is formed in the shape of a pine cone. It is hand drawn and colored, and attached to the glass by a string, in order to hold it up. This piece is unsigned and presented under glass, in a deep silver tone wood frame. It marked to the verso ‘Watermarked 1814’ and has a wire for hanging.

Condition

- frame is scratched, pop up flower may be loose, paper has toning.
