1970s Mah-Jongg Game
Item Details
A vintage Mah-Jongg game. This game set is housed in an ornate wood box with four slender horizontal sliding drawers with front pull knobs; marked to the sides with Asian characters, marked to the bottom with a ‘Made in China’ sticker, marked to the top of the front sliding panel ‘If it isn’t marked Mah-Jongg it isn’t genuine.’ The sliding drawers contain the domino style game pieces; adorned with hand made etchings, painted in a colorful palette of blue, green and red. This item comes with a circa 1971-‘72 ’Official Standard Hands and Rule’ book from the ‘National Mah Jongg League, Inc., 34th Year.’
