Habersham "Claude Monet Collection" Five-Drawer Chest

Item Details

A Habersham Claude Monet Collection five-drawer chest. The wooden case is hand painted with a reproduction of Monet’s Bordighere (1884). It features a rectangular, pine-finished top with molded, serpentine edges above two aligned over a three stacked long drawers. The fronts are fitted with painted, teardrop pulls and the case is further embellished with scrolled and floral details on the sides and scalloped skirt. The chest rises on short, slightly curved front legs and it retains a tag marked ‘Claude Monet Museum / Giverny / The Claude Monet Collection from Habersham / Habersham’. The bottom drawer is dated ‘1-01’ and signed illegibly by the artist who reproduced Monet’s work.
