An antique Victorian mourning brooch. This marquise-shaped metal brooch features a bezel set citrine to the front, framed by etched scrollwork. It is hinged at the top and opens to reveal a panel of braided hair under glass. The piece shows milgrain detail throughout with purple fabric under glass to the verso, along with a straight pin and c-clasp, signifying its age. Item is unmarked.
