Vintage Original Julis Erbit "Drink Sober-Up" Standing Advertisement
Item Details
An original 1940s offset lithograph on cardstock standing sign designed by well-known Hungarian-American commercial illustrator Julius Erbit (1889 – 1968). The poster advertises Sober-Up, a soda advertised as a ‘hangover cure’ in the early-mid 20th century. The poster depicts a nautical-themed image of a young woman on a boat, with a green glass bottle of the liquid collaged across the image. The slogan ‘Drink Sober-Up, It’s a Life Saver’ is printed across the upper edge. Signed in-plate to the lower right. Folding stand attached to verso; currently housed in an acrylic sleeve for safekeeping.
