A Chinese mother-of-pearl inlay jewelry chest and bed tray. This collection includes a Chinese jewelry chest with intricate designs of mother of pearl inlay in floral and gold tone phoenix motifs including a drawer to the exterior with a gold-tone floral knob and double doors with a large gold tone floral medallion opening to reveal three larger drawers with ‘double happiness’ symbols and two smaller drawers decorated with Chinese longevity medallions. Also included is a folding bed tray with a similar motif of mother-of-pearl inlay featuring a large multi-layered central floral medallion surrounded by gold tone phoenixes and bordered by a repeating floral design. Neither piece is marked.
