Antique Carnegie Layton Brass Scales and Weight Set
Item Details
An antique brass scales made by Carnegie Clayton of Birmingham England and a calibrating weight set. Scale is painted gold and has a decal to the front indicating it is ‘British Made’. Additional decals to the top bar states the scale is made to weigh 2 lbs. Two brass dishes, one round the other pear shaped are held on the arms of the scales. The six brass calibrating weights range from 10 grams to 200 grams to are nested in a wood box.
Condition
- to fair, paint finish is blistering and peeling and exposed metal is showing surface rust. Scale balance is slightly off.
