A first trade edition of Bambi: A Life in the Woods. This book of Bambi was written by Felix Salten and translated by Whittaker Chambers. This edition features illustrations by Kurt Wiese and a foreword by John Glasworthy. Published by Simon and Schuster in 1928 and is the story that inspired the Disney film decades later. The book features a hardbound cloth cover, a colored illustration of deer in the woods on the inside cover, and the handwritten name of the previous owner on the title page.
