A 1963 Stan Galli gouache painting on board for Weyerhaeuser advertising. This picture depicts a a blacktail buck in mid-jump in a forest. Included here are the framed original, the magazine page and a color proof. The painting is signed by the artist on the lower right. It is framed in black and matted in white. It is under glass and wired for hanging.

Stanley Galli was a prolific Californian illustrator whose work appeared in magazine stories and advertisements from the 1940s to the 1970s. In 1981, he was inducted into the Society of Illustrators Hall of Frame adding him to a list of members including Norman Rockwell, Maxfield Parrish, N.C. Wyeth, and Howard Pyle.
