This lot features a map entitled ‘Dept. D’Indre et Loire.’ A French map published in 1854 by Victor Levasseur in his ‘Atlas Nationale Illustre.’ beautiful hand colored map, vignetted with a decorative border full of figures that illustrates and explains at length the agricultural commerce and iconography of the region displayed by the map. A fabulous French map, this map and the series of which it is a part, all by Levasseur, are exemplary of the tradition, and exquisite examples. Condition
