Antique Religious Chromolithographs After Fridolin Lieber

A set of two antique religious chromolithographs after German painter Fridolin Lieber (1853-1912). The circa 1890 prints feature depictions of the Holy Family and the crucifixion. The Holy Family print is signed ‘F. Lieber’ in plate to the lower right. The crucifixion print is presented in a decorative gesso and wood frame with wire to the back for hanging. The Holy Family print rests in a wooden frame with brackets to the back for hanging.

Condition

- general wear and fading from age; foxing and areas of discoloration to prints; one small hole to crucifixion print surface; hanging brackets loose to back of Holy Family frame; scratching and nicking to finish of frames; chips to gesso frame; foxing and small holes to frame backings.
