"Rising To New Heights" 2002 Salt Lake Olympics Print After Jesse Barnes

An offset lithographic print titled Rising To New Heights designed for the 2002 Salt Lake Olympics after Jesse Barnes (1936). The print depicts a cluster of glowing chalet style buildings at the base of a snowy mountain and snow covered pine trees in the foreground. The signature of the artist is printed in white with the date 2001 at the lower left corner and in gold with a ‘Salt Lake 2002’ stamp at the lower right corner. The piece is presented with two tones of blue mats in a dark wood frame. A wire for hanging is attached to the verso.

Jesse Barnes known as ‘The Light Painter’ is known for his oil paintings of idealized early American scenes and the lighting effects he puts into each piece.
