Joseon Era Korean Whiteware Porcelain Jar with Cobalt Decoration
Item Details
An antique Korean porcelain whiteware jar with white glaze and cobalt underglaze decoration from the Joseon period (1392-1910). This lidded vessel may have served as a tea caddy and has a glossy overglaze finish to the exterior. The underside to the lid is unglazed, while the interior and underside of the base are glazed. This piece is unmarked.
Condition
- wear to clay along lid edges and base edges; crazing; crystallized glaze to foot.
