Antique Mehlem Royal Bonn "Delft" Vase

Item Details

An antique Mehlem Royal Bonn ‘Delft’ bottle vase made in Germany circa 1890-1920. This piece has a slender neck leading to a bulbous body decorated in delicate brown against a cream ground. One side features floral and foliate sprays in the Delft style, and the other side a vignette of a Dutch landscape. Lip, handles and circular foot offer a dark brown or black glaze highlighted in gold. The underside of piece is marked in blue ‘Royal Bonn ’Delft’’ with numbers ‘2500/25 219’ and an impressed ‘3’ likely indicating decorator and style or shape.
