George Barbier Etching With Pochoir Coloring "Casanova"
Item Details
An etching with pochoir coloring of an original piece by George Barbier (1882-1932) titled Casanova, dated 1918. Created to illustrate a costume for the play ‘La vie amoureuse de Casanova’ by Maurice Rostand (1891-1968), the print depicts the famous author in eighteenth-century clothing holding a mask. The name of the artist and the title of the piece are present in plate under the main image. The print is surrounded by a piece of white matting.
