Antique Beautifully Carved Empire Revival Dresser With Mirror

An antique chest of drawers, with mirror, in the Empire Revival style, late 19th century. Paramount to this piece are the exquisite carvings, the figural female nude harp and stiles. The piece is veneered in mahogany and features an attached oval shaped mirror in a wood frame with a carved shell crest rail and carved mermaid side stands. The mirror stands on a square shaped top dresser with two drawers in a wood and veneer frame with brass tone pull ring knobs. The lower dresser has a bowed front and four drawers with brass tone antique style pulls that are flanked by ornately carved columns with figural female nudes, scroll work and acanthus leaves that sit on square block legs with carved bun style feet.
