A Chinese late Ming dynasty (1368-1644) Zhangzhou ware ceramic vase. this wide urn-shaped vase is decorated with a spontaneously executed landscape scene in white and cobalt blue glaze. Zhangzhou ware, also known as Swatow ware, was created during the late Ming dynasty in southern Chinese kilns intended for export to southeast Asia. The underside is marked ‘合’ (he) in blue glaze.
