1887 2nd Degree Relic of Christ's Image with Papal Seal

An 1849 second degree Catholic relic of the True Representation of the Holy Image of Our Lord Jesus Christ. This image was touched to the veil that Veronica used to wipe the face of Christ, and forever had his image imprinted on it. Sealed with both the Papal seal, and the wax seal of Saint Peter’s Basilica on July 26th, 1887 by Pope Leo XIII. This image was produced, on linen, to exactly mirror Veronica’s veil in 1849 by order of Pope Pius IX.
