Three collector dolls including Madame Alexander and Italian L. Furga.
One vintage 1970s Madame Alexander ‘Maria’ doll from the Sound of Music is from the hard plastic series. Madame Alexander, a brand of American collectible dolls, was introduced in 1923 and has a successful history of high-quality hand-crafted dolls spanning over 80 years.
The two dolls from L. Furga in Italy are equally crafted having intricate costumes with lots of details. The major difference being the body and head construction which is a softer plastic and faces have a pink tone to them.
All dolls have plastic bodies with moveable heads, arms, and legs, closing eyes when laid down, styled silken hair.
Condition
- dolls have always been only for display and have been stored in boxes for decades resulting in flattened clothes and hair.
