A signed, limited edition offset lithograph by equine artist Fred Stone titled A Legacy of Hope, Barbaro. This print depicts the racehorse Barbaro in full stride in a race before throes of spectators. Behind him is a large image of the stunning brown steed’s face, as though he is watching himself run the race. The title and a Penn State Veterinary Medicine label is printed to lower left, the work likely a commissioned piece for the university. Numbered 720/1200 and signed to lower right, both in pencil, this print is also mounted beneath dual layers of coordinated mats and is presented behind acrylic glass in a dark frame with hanging wire present to verso, as well as a small pocket containing a letter from the artist about the piece, and a certificate of authenticity.
