L.B. Porter Original Gouache on Board Triptych "Split Trails"

An original 1984 gouache on board painting by listed American western genre painter LB (Lawrence Benjamin) Porter (born 1929), titled Split Trail. The three-panel narrative painting depicts two men on horseback taking diverging paths in the first frame. The second and third frames show them alone in an expansive landscape after having parted ways. Each piece is signed and dated in black to its lower corner. The pieces are matted in pale gray and presented behind glass in a thin silver-tone metal frame with a hanging wire. The piece is titled in ink to the verso.

Condition

- light accretion and scuffing to glass’s surface. Paper is beginning to yellow slightly.
