Ink Wash
A group of two marker with watercolor and ink sketches on paper by listed American artist Ricardo Morin (Venezuela, b. 1954), created in 2003. The pieces depict abstract scenes with gestural and organic lines. To the lower right, the items are signed and dated by the artist in pencil. Presented as loose works without frames.
Morin immigrated to the United States from Venezuela in 1972. Based in New York and New Jersey, Morin received his B.F.A. at the State University of New York at Buffalo and his M.F.A. at Yale University. His work has been exhibited at multiple institutions including the Bronx Museum of the Arts; the Albright-Knox Art Gallery in Buffalo, New York; the Museum of Contemporary African Diasporan Arts in Brooklyn, New York; and many others. He is most well-known for his non-objective abstract paintings that exhibit a combination of linear delineation and fluidity. For more information about the artist, see the link below.
