Antique 1886 U.S. Springfield Model 1873 Rifle

Item Details

An antique 1886 U.S. Springfield Model 1873 rifle. It features a .50 caliber trapdoor breechblock, and a robust walnut stock. The trapdoor is stamped “1873” and “U.S.”, and the lock plate is stamped with an American eagle symbol, as well as “U.S. Springfield”. The serial number “314854” indicates that it was manufactured in 1886. Rifle untested. Includes a leather shoulder strap and a modern Cabela’s rifle sock.

• Pre 1898 guns* will not require an FFL (Federal Firearms License) but, if the winning bidder wants them transferred or shipped, this will need to be through an FFL dealer, whether the sale was through our warehouses or an estate. If the winning bidder so chooses, they can pick these up in person from an estate or warehouse without involving an FFL dealer.
