Ink Wash

An original 2006 ink drawing on found cardboard by contemporary Cincinnati-based Outsider artist Ronald “Ron” English. The drawing depicts an abstracted Cubist portrait created in gestural black lines filled with patches of bright orange, red, blue, yellow, gray, and purple. The drawing is signed and dated to the lower right. The piece is unframed, awaiting presentation of choice. English creates and sells his work throughout the inner-city downtown and Over-the-Rhine neighborhoods of Cincinnati, creating art on found materials, usually cardboard. English mainly produces Cubist figural drawings that he says are “inspired by the Lord.”
