An ink and watercolor painting on deckle-edge paper of a figural abstract scene by well-listed American artist Ricardo Morin (Venezuela, b. 1954), created 2003. Signed and dated by the artist to the lower right corner. Presented without a frame or mat.
Morin immigrated to the United States from Venezuela in 1972. Based in New York and New Jersey, he received his B.F.A. at the State University of New York at Buffalo and his M.F.A. at Yale University. His work has been exhibited at multiple institutions including the Bronx Museum of the Arts; the Albright-Knox Art Gallery in Buffalo, New York; the Museum of Contemporary African Diasporan Arts in Brooklyn, New York; and many others. He is most well-known for his non-objective abstract paintings that often exhibit a combination of linear delineation and spontaneous fluidity.
