Collection of Studio Cermics Including Vintage Jean Paul Patnode
Item Details
A collection of hand thrown studio pottery includes a piece by Jean Paul Patnode, of Stowe, Vermont, circa 1970s. The stoneware pitcher has a concentric leaf-like design to the sides over a pale honey glaze, with a pulled handle and exaggerated pouring lip. Signed to the underside. Also included is a round vessel having a layered, trimmed mouth and trimmed foot, being unglazed buff-colored stoneware to outside, signed to the base. Included is a large covered casserole by ‘Rising Fawn,’ having a buff, groggy stoneware exterior and a bright blue liner glaze. The fitted lid has two lug handles applied to the top, with lug handles to either side of the basin. Marked to underside.
Condition
- the rim of the pitcher has a small chip.
