An original color lithographic WWI propaganda poster featuring imagery created by John Norton (1876-1934), circa 1918. This poster depicts a pair of bloody, spurred boots with the German imperial eagle insignia on each. The lower margin reads ‘Keep These Off the U.S.A / Buy More Liberty Bonds’, providing a strong message to the American people. To the upper right, the artist’s name is printed in plate, and the poster is presented behind glass in a wooden frame with rounded corners and hanging wire to verso.

Condition

- accretion present to surface of poster, as well as light creases present to upper and lower portions
