An astonishing antique brass bodied cash register by the National Cash Register Company in the Empire Tiffany Design, made in 1907. This stunning cash register has been hand restored and oxidized with a black patina. Register is completely original except the ‘Amount Purchased’ sign at the top of the cash register. Originally purchased by Anna Hodapp of Cambridge, Ohio and sold by Chas Chambers in Cincinnati, Ohio. Model number 79, with serial number ‘602651’ on plate at center of register. Register has a working drawer, crank, button release, and several buttons to front (for dollars, cents, and other accounting buttons). Glass display pieces have pointed finger details to both sides that point to the cash and amount flip pieces. Drawer has a wooden insert with bronze detail to exterior, complete with five change drawers and four wider drawers for bills (three of which have bill rollers). Marked ‘1295 Patents 23000 Patent Claims, See special patent list on drawer’ to bronze plate at top and ’Pat’d Oct 4 04’ to plate on front.

Condition

Some wear to piece from age and use. Has nicely restored. ‘Amount Purchased’ sign at top is only piece that is not original.
