A large Indo-Persian heriz serapi rug. This rug is medium wool pile on cotton weft. It has as field with central complex medallion with extensions of ivory-gold-sage-powder blue and a stylized floral design on terracotta brown background. corner guards have a stylized floral design on ivory-dark sage-gold-brown background. The wide palace border with multi-color floral motif is on a brown frame with serpentine floral design outlined with powder blue on brown shade background. It was dyed with vegetable dyes.
