Mid Century Modern Thonet Molded Plywood Chair

Item Details

A Mid Century Modern Thonet molded plywood chair. The chair’s rounded rectangular backrest has a handle pierced near the top and is elevated on a slat attached to the seat. The chair’s seat is covered in a seafoam green vinyl upholstery and is elevated on two bent supports that form two splayed legs on each side. Metal brackets attached to the underside of the seat are most likely designed to facilitate connecting it to additional chairs. It is marked ‘Thonet/One Park Avenue/New York’ to the underside.
