A pair of Word War I era Iron Cross 2nd class medals, traditionally presented for heroism or valour. Each medal shows the date 1813 to one side to commemorate the honor’s inception and 1914 to the other side to signify the current era. The crown represents the royal throne of Germany and the rule Kaiser Wilhelm II, Germany’s leader during the first Word War.
