Silver Plate Serving Dish and Silver Soldered Candle Holders
Item Details
A serving dish and a pair of candle holders. The serving dish is silver plate and features an elaborate foliate design of fruits and leaves. One half of the dish has raised cut outs to serve as handles. No maker’s mark was found. The silver soldered candlestick holders are by the Gorham Company and feature a round tiered base leading up to a round holder and indentation for a candlestick. The base and holder are ornamented in decorative beading and wave motifs. Each candlestick holder is marked, ‘Gorham Co, 0250, Silver Soldered,’ on the bottom.
Condition
- faint markings throughout; slight tarnishing.
