Norman Laliberte Very Large Original Acrylic Painting

Item Details

An original signed acrylic painting circa 1978 that stretches over eleven feet wide and nearly three feet tall, which was hand crafted by American artist, Norman Laliberté (b.1925). Laliberté is best known for his wide range of talents including everything from painting, printmaking and sculpting to teaching and writing – who is the author of over twenty different books on contemporary art. This extremely large painting depicts a very colorful, unique design, slightly resembling that of a cave painting, featuring several tribal inspired figures and motifs in various shades of green, blue, orange, red, purple, brown, grey, and white. This piece is hand signed and dated by the artist in the lower margin. The painting is housed behind plexiglass in a very large metal frame with a wire for hanging to the verso.

This sale features several other similar pieces by the same artist, including 17CIN033-122 and 17CIN033-124.

Plexiglass is slightly popping out from the frame along the lower margin – would recommend having it professionally reframed.
