A lava lamp. The lamp contains are mixture of mineral oil, paraffin wax, and carbon tetrachloride which after being heated by the incandescent light can travel through the glass. The lamp is has a sticker marked ‘Underwriters Laboratories’ and the cord has a switch to turn on and off.
