A hand-knotted Turkmen wool area rug. The vibrant red rug features symmetrical rows of octagonal guls inside a geometric square grid, a starburst motif in the main border on the longer sides and a diamond motif main border along the shorter sides, with other compound guard borders. The rug is finished with white fringe on the shorter ends and overcast edges. It has no identifying tags.
