A pair of Jean Marc Francois’ oil paintings of scenes from Haiti. This features two framed oil paintings on canvas that represent village life in Haiti from the perspective of the artist. The vertical painting portrays a cluster of small huts and people in the forefront with sprawling scenic views in the background of the village. The other painting is a beach scene, that features people on the beach near the water with tropical dry landscape with sprinkled trees on the hillsides. Both frames are wood with a leaf designed pattern and have two sawtooth mounts to the verso of the frame. Each painting is signed to the bottom corner ‘Jn Marc Francois,’ and there is a tag to the back of the horizontal painting that also verifies the artist.
