Vintage Burl Walnut Veneer Secretary

A vintage burl walnut veneer secretary. This large secretary features a double arched cornice to the top over a pair of inset doors with cockbeading detail. The doors can be opened with the included key finished with an ivory tone silk fob. The interior features many cubby holes, drawers and a central cabinet. The doors are attached with UK made Spegelstein hinges. There are two sliders below the doors. The slant top desk features an inlaid matched veneer with brass batwing cutout escutcheon. Additional cubby holdes and drawers are noted behind the slant top which is held by two sliders to the side. The desk rests over four drawers, each finished with brass batwing cutout bails and pulls and escutcheons. The drawer fronts feature inlaid matched veneers with cockbeading. The secretary rests on four bracket feet.
