A hand knotted Persian Kerman square area rug. The brilliant orange field of the carpet is dominated by a large round lobed medallion with a cream colored eight-point star. The medallion and field are decorated in intricate sprays of flowers in shades of pink, blush, sage green, acid green, cream, and powder blue. Two minor lobed flower borders flank a major border of serpentine vines and flowers. The piece ends in a simple white cotton fringe. Unmarked
