A semi-antique hand knotted Persian Kashan room size rug. The rug features a navy colored lozenge medallion with cream and pale blue center over a scarlet field. Both the field and medallion are decorated with intricate purling vines and Shah Abbasi palmettes. The field is encircled by a complex border of lobed flower and herati borders surrounding a Shah Abbasi palmette and vine border. The carpet is finished with a close cropped cotton fringe at either end.
