An oil painting on board of a European courtyard scene, attributed to the School of Emma Ciardi (Italian, 1879–1933). This work features a view of a retreated European courtyard filled with sculptures, fountains, fountain pool, and other forms of classical architecture. Men and women dressed in aristocratic 18th-century clothing promenade throughout the courtyard surrounded by a forest of trees in the background and a calm blue sky hovering above. No signature, title, or date was found on the work. A label with handwriting that reads ‘School of Emma Ciardi’ is adhered to the verso and illegible handwriting is also present. Presented in a gold-tone wood frame, the work is ready to hang with picture wire to the verso.

- some chips, scratches, and discoloration in frame; minor flaking and paint loss; paper backing ripped off.
