A hand-knotted 100% wool Qashqai area rug, made in Iran. The triangle shape lozenge boasts a cream color center medallion with flowers and scrolls in blue, red, orange, and green with a red field covered in a elaborate design of flowers and scrollwork. The spandrels match the medallion in design and colors. It has a pair of bracketed boteh guard borders in complementary colors and a primary border featuring alternating branched floral elements with large lobed blossoms in similar colors. It has overcast edges and long, natural wool warp fringe to each end. Original cloth tag is still attached to underside.
